EVOLVING THE MYTH
Evolving The Myth is a guided immersive art experience within mythic landscapes that invites participants to wake up to meaning in their lives.

For centuries, meaningful, immersive engagement with art and spirituality rested at the center of Western civilization. The “cathedral experience” was one of many potent containers that facilitated a gateway into the transcendent. Through the personalized experience of the stories, rituals, and awe-inspiring representations of relatable and archetypal motifs of human potential, we have been attempting to create access to the divine since our beginnings.

“Stories are living, breathing entities - they need to be kept alive through the living into them, the experience of them in our own lives.”
— Christopher Remmers

Here at Evolving The Myth, we are creating highly curated and guided immersive art experiences. We invite participants to journey through mythical, archetypal landscapes made of large-scale narrative paintings and elaborate sculptural environments. The space is laden with interactive artifacts, music, and light projection that personalize a narrative arch into a meaningful, transformational ceremony.
Imagine a space that renews the awe and wonder found in European cathedrals and the monastic temples of the East, enmeshed with the modern lens of story, aesthetic, and grandeur. In this space, these worlds combine to create a container for the participants to journey into the mythic landscape. This journey is deepened through guided facilitation, inviting participants to reflect and integrate their experience, into a meaning-making awakening.
Guided Facilitation
Part performance, part immersion, part retreat: Evolving the Myth not only provides an exceptional and inspiring experience but a transformative one. During the initial stages of the journey, a facilitator/guide will help the participants understand ways they might engage and interact with the immersive mythological art and space. Through powerful reflective questions, invitations, and interactions, participants will be immersed in the full potential of myth, art, and story, as meaning-making psycotechnologies.
Large-Scale Narrative Paintings, Mythological Environments
Each painting will be carefully crafted and designed to create a narrative arch between each other. The environment will mimic and magnify the elements within these imaginative, mythological narrative paintings. “Portals” will mark key transition points as you progress through the story, crossing the threshold into a new awareness. Alongside our appreciation and dedication to a mastery mindset, following the tradition of classical realism, the narrative too will be carefully considered to create a rich and meaningful experience, rooted in a collection of mythologies spanning the globe and designed to cultivate a relationship with your own living mythology.
Interactivity & Participation
Throughout your journey, you will be invited to participate and actively engage within the mythic landscape. As you are free to roam around the space, there will be “artifacts” to collect and contemplate. While here, you are the wild child, wandering with open wonder, finding the breadcrumbs that lead to perhaps a secret narrative or key feature that creates relatedness to the experience. A grand finale awaits and the artifacts will be important along your journey. The possibilities here are endless and ever-changing as is the story, and we are exploring how to best engage with each individual in unique ways.
Sound & Light Technology
We are teaming up with Source Vibrations Media, a leader in sound technology and creator of Harmonic Mind. Sound and rhythm are powerful aids in activating certain types of consciousness. There will be a curated playlist to accompany you during your journey to deepen and enliven a full sensory experience. Additionally, we will be using light projection and image mapping to expand the mysterious, mythical world around you, in far contrast to the typical exhibition setting.
INTEGRATION
Integration closes the circle of the meaning-making experience. It holds the space for individual and group contemplation of questions like: Where is the one in me in this story/painting, or in this experience? What might this mean for my life? Held in this space of integration, participants are invited to deepen the experience beyond consumption and into the possibility of transformation.
